About Specialty Rescue Training
Specialty Rescue Training specializes in assisting departments in meeting the stringent training requirements of NFPA and NIMS.
We are here to help you meet your training goals
Dan Wheeley, owner of Specialty Rescue Training, is an Instructor Trainer for Rescue 3 International and the Rescue 3 Regional Director for the Midwest Region. He is also an instructor for the State of Tennessee (TARS).
Dan has been teaching water and rope rescue classes for over 10 years. With an extensive background in whitewater, and experience in the commercial rafting industry as an outfitter manager, he brings a little extra to the Swiftwater Rescue programs he teaches. Dan works as the EMS and Rescue Chief for Washington County – Johnson City EMS who provides the technical rescue for his area.
